Directions Maldon is situated approxiamtely 150 km from Melbourne. Road travellers can take the Calder Freeway out of Melbourne, turning off at Castlemaine and following the signs. Alternatively a fast train service operates from Melbourne's Southern Cross Railway station to Castlemaine with a bus link to Maldon. The very adventurous may even like to take the steam train from Castlemaine!
