The former beachhouse of the famed Australian painter Arthur Boyd and his family, this architect-designed retreat is absolute oceanfront - perched on the sand dunes above Culburra Beach among beautiful native vegetation. Bought by the present owner from Yvonne Boyd in 2003, the cottage has been renovated and redecorated, with updated kitchen and bathroom and quality fixtures and furnishings throughout. The multi-level design, with decks off many of the rooms provide private escapes if the house is fully occupied and protection from the elements, no matter what the weather brings. You can relax and enjoy a late afternoon drink on the painting platform built by Boyd, with incredible views north across the whole of Shoalhaven Bight.
