Coonabarabran is situated in Central NSW an easy 90 minute drive from Dubbo (home of the famed Western Plains Zoo). Attractions abound here and it is a haven for bushwalkers and astronomers. The Warrumbungles National Park and Mountains as well as Siding Springs Observatory, which is a must-see for astronomy enthusiasts are just a scenic 30 minute drive away. Skywatch Observatory, on the outskirts of Coonabarabran, is a more hands-on site with viewing open to all.
