Set amidst towering escarpments, the Hat Cave is a huge sandstone cathedral, with superb acoustics. It has been sculpted by nature to provide an ideal bush land retreat for modern cave dwellers (troglodytes). It has been carefully developed using minimal impact construction and facilities to ensure the environment remains as pristine as possible for future generations to enjoy.

Access is easy via a 500m walking track with numerous seats to absorb the bush land surrounds. The 25 metre high arched opening faces North West with wind and weather protection by a grove of coach wood trees and 30 metre tall carved rock columns known locally as "pagodas", a predominant feature in the primitive landscape. Facilities include: - Open fire with kindling and 20kg wood; Gas barbecue; icebox; tables and chairs; sleeping swags; solar powered lights etc.
The 4 star Lodge sleeps 8 in luxury with 3 king size bedrooms, loft, 2 lounge areas, 2 bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. Relax by the wood fire as you gaze across wilderness.
