Clare Valley Accommodation service offers 1850s settlers cottages which have been running as B & B's in the Clare Valley for 16 years. These cottages are some of the longest running B & B's in the Clare Valley. We pride ourselves on our large group of guests who have over the 16 year period become regular guests Delightful 2 & 3 bedroom restored settlers cottages.
Tickles, a 2 bedroom cottage has 1 King which splits to 2 king single beds & 1 Queen size bed. Peppertree, a 3 bedroom cottage has 3 Queen size beds 1 of these queen splits to 2 singles.
Each property has a fabulous open or log burning fire in the spacious lounges. The cottages were built by Cornish miners and have thick walls of "pug limestone". Each cottage has a full kitchen a BBQ and outdoor dining settings in the cottage gardens.
Set in truly peaceful surroundings off Tickles Lane, a quiet country lane which meanders thru blue gum studded farming land these 2 cottages are a tranquil hideaway. Situated near by one another on an original 80 acre section first held by Charles Simeon Hare, and later for 100 years by the Tickle family these cottages are ideal for larger groups & families wishing to stay in the Clare Valley.

Situated 2 kms south of Mintaro in peaceful rural surroundings Tickles and nearby Peppertree make a perfect bases for discovering the beautiful Clare Valley. You can explore the wineries and wonderful heritage and history, cycles can be hired to ride on the wonderful Riesling Trail. The Clare Valley is pleasant one and a half hours north of Adelaide, ( allow 2 hours if you are travelling from the airport).
Many guests staying at the cottages take advantage of staying in the one spot for longer and travelling about an hour to visit the Barossa Valley, or travel 30 minutes to Burra to explore the towns mining history. Clare, Auburn, Sevenhill, Blyth and Watervale are the towns within the Clare Valley, all are a short meander from the cottages

The Cottages are nearby Mintaro, one of the Clare Valleys heritage listed towns where you will find historic Martindale Hall. The cottages are a pleasant 2 km walk or bike ride from Martindale Hall, and the same distance into the township of Mintaro.
Mintaro is home to the Magpie & Stump, a fantastic country pub, Reilly's restaurant, Swans a beautiful cafe opened in October 05, wineries, a living maze and well preserved heritage buildings.
The Clare Valley also offers a plethora of restaurants, cellar door winery outlets, art galleries, Heritage & history. Its also a great place to sit by the fire or in the garden and read a book!
